Deadly venomous Gaboon viper (Bitis gabonica) is one of the most beautiful snakes in the world. This big viper species lives in tropical forests of Africa. Gaboon vipers are well camouflaged in the leaf litter, although it seems that their colorful body must be well visible. They are endangered by habitat loss and collection for pet trade. This video shows Gaboon vipers in their natural habitat and snake hunter catching a big adult Gaboon viper. You will also see a Gaboon viper catching and eating rats. Rhinoceros viper and Gaboon viper hybridize and produce a gabino. Gabino viper is extremely colorful hybrid and we were lucky to see one in the wild.
